MAP OF THE GRANDSTANDS

The Suzuka Circuit features a variety of grandstands for spectators to choose from, each providing a distinct view and experience of the race. All grandstands have a large TV screen and most of them are covered.

General Admission (GA) tickets are also available at the circuit. GA tickets grant spectators access to a reserved area without assigned seating. Note that these tickets are usually cheaper than standard tickets.

Grandstands V1 and V2

Partially covered stands V1 and V2 are located directly along the finishing straight opposite the pits. You therefore have a perfect view of the start, as well as the action in the pit lane. The giant screens give you a great overview of what's happening on the track, while just behind the grandstands you'll find the Fanzone, so you'll be right in the action. From the V1 and V2 grandstands, you can also see the first turn and other parts of the first sector. Thanks to the roofing of the grandstands (only for the higher rows) you don't have to worry about rainy weather.

This grandstand is partly covered (V2 sections only).

Grandstands A1 and A2

Grandstands A1 and A2 are located in close proximity to the main grandstands marked V1 and V2. Grandstands A1 and A2 provide an excellent view of the cars going into the first corner of the Suzuka circuit, which has been the scene of many interesting events in the past. Virtually every year, the fans whose eyes are fixed on the first corner witness dramatic moments. In addition to the battles immediately after the start, which include the 1990 incident between Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost, it was here that Kimi Räikkönen's manoeuvre on Giancarlo Fisichella in 2005, which secured Finn's famous victory on the last lap, made history.

Grandstands B1 and B2

For fans of the legendary "Esses" of Japanese Suzuka, which are located just around the first bend, the ideal choice is to bet on tickets that will get you seating in the B1 and B2 stands. While the grandstands are located relatively far from the track itself due to the wide escape zone, it's not to the detriment of the view.

Grandstand C

Right next to the B1 and B2 stands is the spectator sector marked C. This stand also offers a perfect view of the action on the track in the first sector. Tribune C is also very conveniently located, as the main Fanzone can be reached in less than a quarter of an hour. Although the grandstand is uncovered, it offers a very good view of the large screens with TV coverage.

Grandstands D and E

Belgium's Spa-Francorchamps circuit has the Eau Rouge, Italy's Monza has the Parabolica, while the Suzuka circuit boasts its legendary "Esses", where current F1 cars can show their capabilities. If you're a fan of this section, tickets for Grandstands D and E shouldn't escape your attention.

Grandstand I

Suzuka has several places that offer the possibility of overtaking. The main one is the famous hairpin, located at the back of the circuit. And it is at the exit of this corner that you will find Grandstand I, which is also suitable for photography enthusiasts - F1 cars pass through this section at relatively low speeds, so it is a section that is often sought out by photographers. Grandstand I is uncovered and offers no view of any giant TV screen. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the main Fanzone from Grandstand I.

Grandstands Q1 and Q2

Part of the two grandstands marked as Q is located along the final chicane right at the exit of the super-fast turn 130R. From the grandstands you can enjoy the speed of the cars, but also their braking abilities in the final chicane before the finish. As the Q1 and Q2 grandstands are elevated, you can see all the way to the first sector, they are strategically placed as there are plenty of refreshment stands just behind them and the main Fanzone is not far away either - just a ten-minute walk.

Grandstands R and S

Grandstands R and S are located just after the last chicane at the entrance to the finishing straight. As this chicane is a frequent site of overtaking manoeuvres, the view of the exit from this section provides an interesting spectacle. Likewise, the entrance to the pit lane is in the palm of your hand, which makes it easier to navigate the race. Near the R and S grandstands is the main fan zone, where you can refresh yourself with Japanese specialities and buy souvenirs.
